This chap was Brother West, and later Bolter 8 – part number 070119/21. His name seems to be a reference to Adam West, who played Batman in the 1960s TV series.

He can be seen in WD99:

This vintage Rogue Trader Space Marine was known as Brother Ward and carries a bolt pistol and power sword. His name is apparently a reference to Burt Ward, who played Robin in the Batman TV show that ran from 1966-1968.

The next wave of eighteen Space Marines after RT01 were not done by Bob Naismith, instead sculpted by Mark Copplestone and Aly Morrison. Shown in WD99 as well as elsewhere – the White Dwarf #99 page:

Individual model sculpting credits aren’t given in the flyers for this range, unfortunately. See below the list for my thoughts on that.

The Marine feet generally seem to be sculpted in one of two ways, one of which is petite little feet which just stick out from under their greaves. Using this I’m separating the group into two;
Large feet:
Small feet:
Mark Copplestone has told me that Brother Meredith is one of his, so I am going to tentatively mark the sculptors in accordance to the above lists (Mark/Aly) until someone informs me otherwise!

This guy goes by Brother Lestrade, Brother Leanman or Bolter 9, depending on which catalogue/flyer you are looking at. Part number 070106/5.
Designed by Bob Naismith.
He’s listed as Brother Lestrade in the Feb 1988 Astronomican, and Brother Leanman in the Sept 1987 White Dwarf 93 RTO1 listing and in the Feb 88 flyer.

He’s a 1987 sculpt. As seen in the September 1989 White Dwarf (#117) converted by Richard Kernick:

I have two of these guys and one had the bonding studs filed off – I didn’t notice until painting was underway. Painted in December 2022:

Lenses: Sap Green, highlighted with Spring Green and Pro Acryl Golden Yellow then Titanium White

This metal Rogue Trader Space Marine Captain is shown as Captain Reece early on and later as part number 070119/26. He has 1987 on the tab and is a Bob Naismith sculpt.

You can see him in WD93:

This Rogue Trader Space Marine went by Orinoco or Kendall. He’s a Bob Naismith sculpt. I can make out “GW” scratched into the tab but nothing useful as far as the date goes.

This Rogue Trader Space Marine went by Dedmole or Taylor, depending on which flyer/catalogue you look at. He’s a Bob Naismith sculpt and there was no date on this one’s tab, unfortunately.

This guy was Dimshade and Thaw in the early days and was later shown in the catalogues as Chainsword 1, part number 070119/22. He is a Bob Naismith sculpt, and shares most of his head sculpt with Breakout Con. It looks like 1987 on the tab.
