This sculpt is from Satyr Studios and goes by the name of Dawn, and the sculpt clearly riffs on Brother Anderton/Longun from the Rogue Trader days. Wearing a Vetus pattern backpack, scaled down to 90 percent.
I am painting a 2nd. Edition monopose marine for Darren Latham’s 90s Marine challenge. Paints used so far:

This Imperial Guard Commissar was a 1988 sculpt by Mark Copplestone, and goes by Commissar with Las-Gun (as does another one, but this chap is the one who isn’t pointing). The catalogue page: The mini:

This is a tank from back in my childhood where I really wanted plasma sponsons… so here it is returned to me many years later. Paints used: Sponsons:
This is undiluted Dirty Down rust roughly applied with a cheap brush onto a Necromunda base which had been prepped with a mid silver, drybrushed over with a light silver (in this instance Heavy Metal brushed over with Speed Metal):
Testing out the new Garaghak’s Sewer contrast paint over a metallic paint, drybrushed with a lighter metallic (in this instance Heavy Metal brushed over with Speed Metal). Starting base: End result, undiluted and heavily applied with a cheap brush:
I managed to find an old pot of Goblin Green which is full and still liquid – time to try colour matching some modern colours to it to see what makes for a good alternative. Experiments to come!
